Puppy socialization: A pound of cure
Most dogs who end up in the pound do so because of behavioral issues like fear and aggression. And most of those issues can be avoided with early puppy training called socialization.
Want a nice, friendly dog who greets strangers politely, gets along with fellow canines, and is basically chill in all situations? You’re more likely to live with that dog if your puppy training includes a big dose of socialization, a systematic process that teaches puppies what to expect from the big, wide, human world they’ve been born into—and how to handle themselves with grace in it.
I tailor my puppy training programs to each client’s needs, but always include proper puppy socialization. Though I’m happy to hear from past clients any time, I want it to be because you’ve gotten a second dog or decided to do some extra training just for fun, not to solve fear and aggression issues we could have avoided with early socialization.
